It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2nd International Conference on “Smart Ideas and a New Concept of Economic Regeneration in Europe” – SINCERE organised by the University of Dubrovnik, Department of Economics and Business Economics. The conference will take place in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 25-27 October 2018.
The 2nd SINCERE conference aims to address the digital transformation of European economies. The world we live in is increasingly becoming digitalized. New technologies are changing our societies, culture and everyday life. Above all, they revolutionize the way our economies work. Products and services of tomorrow will be digital and huge growth potential is embodied in them. The path to exploit this potential starts today and requires reinvention of economic policy we knew.
By bringing together distinguished academics, policy makers and researchers from several European countries, the Conference will provide novel research findings on the socio-economic effects of digital transformation and the most recent policy experiences. It will assess the potential for a new wave of industrial development in these countries and facilitate the transfer of knowledge between more advanced countries in this process and their counterparts that are lagging behind.
